Frequently Asked Questions

How do we go about hiring you to film our wedding?

We are delighted that you have chosen us to document one of the most important days in your life! The next step is to contact us to book your wedding date. We request a retainer to secure your date.

When do you start filming?

Depending on your wedding package, we start filming two hours before your ceremony. That is the time when we capture shots of the bride and groom, and the wedding party, as well as the venue and decor. During this time, we also set up for your ceremony, mic the groom and officiate and test the audio to make sure it is perfect.

Which package is right for me?

Depending on your budget and wedding plans, we recommend booking us for 8 hours or more. This will ensure we have plenty of time to get the special moments and also the details that make your wedding unique.

Do you charge travel fees?

We do not charge extra fees for locations less than two hours drive from Denver. We charge minimal fees for coverage in towns like Aspen, Telluride or Ourey, or cities such as Washington D.C., San Francisco and Las Vegas. Get in touch with us for more details.

Is there a charge for staying later in the evening if something important comes up?

We will work with you and your wedding planner to make sure we are available to capture all the important moments of the day. There is a fee of $100 per hour over the time agreed upon in the contract.

When can I expect to see my wedding video?

Most of the work that goes into a video is done after the wedding. A typical wedding film can take up to 50-60 hours to edit (which includes color grading, audio editing and the creation of motion graphics). Our average time for delivering a highlights video is 60 days, and 90 days for long feature pieces.

Can we see samples of more than a highlights film?

We are happy to provide you with links to samples of our full feature wedding films which typically run from 15 to 30 minutes.

What is your videography style?

We produce documentary and cinematic pieces. We love capturing the moments you’ll never forget and the beauty and excitement of your wedding day.

What makes your cinematography team unique?

We are an EMMY-winning videography team with extensive experience filming documentaries, television series, sports, and promotional videos. Our work takes us to many locations around the country so you are able to work with the best in the business regardless of where your wedding venue is located. Unlike other videography teams, we pay special attention to audio so you get crystal clear vows and wedding toasts. Additionally, we use a multi camera setup for your ceremony.

Should we do a First Look?

The moment when the groom sees the bride for the first time is priceless and video is the best way to capture it. This is one of our favorite things to film.

Do you shoot weddings in more than one location?

Yes! Many couples have their ceremony in one location (or city) and their reception in another some time later. We are happy to set up a custom package for you.

Are there any other pros in the area you love to work with?

We have a great network of wedding vendors, including wedding planners, photographers and makeup artists in Colorado and beyond.

Do you offer drone footage?

Yes we do. We use drone footage mainly to capture establishing shots of the venue or wedding location. Some locations have strict rules against it. Daniel is an FAA-certified Part 107 drone pilot, so he can answer any of your questions regarding the use of a drone for your wedding.

We do not fly a drone during your wedding ceremony as it could be distracting. Also, we do not fly a drone over people as it is illegal.

What about music for our video?

We use several services to license the music we use in our films. The cost of the license is included in our wedding packages. We would be happy to review the music choices with you.

Do you film elopements or small, intimate weddings?
